Have a safer summer! |
||
Dear resident,
As we start to enjoy longer, brighter and hopefully warmer days over the coming summer as well as many of you jetting off on holidays. We’d like to take the time to remind residents of some simple crime prevention tips and personal safety advice to help you enjoy a safer summer.
Keeping your property secure.
Warmer days offer opportunistic burglars more chances with people being more likely to leave their properties insecure. So while we are enjoying the warmer weather, it’s important to remember the following:
Animal welfare
Water safety We all love to be beside the seaside or splashing about in a pool when the sun finally graces us with its presence but ensuring our safety and that of our children whilst in or near the water is vital. That’s why we support partners such as the RNLI and the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) and their annual water safety campaigns. RLSS UK have a wealth of educational resources available to families and schools. The RNLI also have resources available to support their Float To Live awareness campaign, which provides practical advice on what to do if you find yourself in trouble in the water. We highly recommend everyone takes the time to check out both websites.
Hopefully these tips will help you have a safer and lovely summer. For more safety advice and information please visit our website here. Did you know there are a range of ways you can get in touch with us? In an emergency, please always call 999. For anything else, you can speak to us online or alternatively call 101.
